Originally from Canada and raised in California, Yalda Mohammadi embodies the resilience inherited from her Iranian immigrant parents. With a profound sense of empathy and a visionary spirit, Yalda fervently advocates for chronic pain awareness and recovery, and drives forward social change in different arenas. In her practice, Yalda emanates boundless creativity, ingenuity, and an unwavering dedication to fostering positive change.

Yalda is certified in Life and Success Coaching and Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT). Yalda completed her interdisciplinary Master of Arts degree in the Humanities with a focus in Women's/Gender Studies from San Francisco State University, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Women's/Gender Studies from Sacramento State University, graduating Magna Cum Laude.

Yalda discovered her life's purpose early on — to be of service to others and make a meaningful difference in society. Her diverse roles reflect a commitment to this purpose, including supporting grantmaking efforts in the field of human rights with a focus on criminal justice reform and immigrant rights in the U.S.; enhancing resources, skills, and support networks to effectively address and combat domestic violence issues across the state of California; teaching reading and critical thinking skills to youth and adults; and providing mentorship to refugee families resettling in Sacramento, CA. Yalda has also volunteered her time and skills as a bilingual interpreter at domestic violence shelters, providing immediate assistance and emotional support to families in vulnerable situations, and breaking down language barriers to ensure effective communication and aid.

While Yalda had experienced chronic pain symptoms on and off since childhood, her life took an unexpected turn in her early 20s when she was diagnosed with fibromyalgia, a challenging musculoskeletal pain condition accompanied by a range of symptoms such as chronic fatigue and non-restorative sleep. Despite medical professionals saying that the root cause of fibromyalgia was unknown and considered incurable, Yalda took control of her health. She spent over a decade testing different medications and exploring numerous healing modalities, despite facing setbacks. During her journey, Yalda grappled with the unpredictable nature of her condition and the limitations it imposed on her daily life.

Fueled by her determination and resilience, she refused to let fibromyalgia define her existence. Ultimately, Yalda embarked on a transformative recovery journey by discovering a mind-body approach. Life Coaching and Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT) have become the staple of her practice. This profound process catalyzed her healing and ignited her inspiration to transform a lifetime of pain into a meaningful purpose. Today, Yalda shares her wealth of knowledge, expertise, wisdom, and emotional support to those facing chronic pain.

Yalda's story stands as a testament to the indomitable human spirit and the potential that lies within each of us to overcome seemingly insurmountable challenges.
